5th Annual Wags n’ Whiskers August 25, Featuring Pet Adoptions, Contests, Live Music, Giveaways, Children's Activities, Face Painting, and More

The Village at Shirlington invites all animal lovers to the village Saturday, August 25, 11am-4pm, for the Fifth Annual Wags n’ Whiskers, a community-oriented event for animal enthusiasts and their four-legged friends.  The afternoon animal extravaganza will feature pet adoptions, pet contests, demonstrations, exhibitions, pet portrait photos, live music, and children’s activities including face painting, balloon animals and more.  The merchants at Village at Shirlington will also host in-store specials, promotions and free giveaways. 

Pet owners are also invited to enter their adorable furry friends in the Wags n’ Whiskers Virtual Pet Park contest by submitting and voting for the best pictures of their pets on Facebook.  The pet with the most votes wins a signature gift basket from Dogma Bakery & Boutique valued at $250. The second-place winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Dogma and the third-place winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Dogma. Entries and voting are open now through Thursday, August 23.
