One of the region's highest rated music events is September 8! The Rosslyn Jazz Festival takes place in Gateway Park, just across the Key Bridge from Washington, D.C., one block from the Rosslyn Metro station. This popular free festival is sponsored by the Rosslyn BID and co-presented with Arlington Cultural Affairs.
The Rosslyn Jazz Festival has featured national acts such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Joe Henderson, Dave Valentine, Larry Coryell, James Moody, Nnenna Freelon and Ahmad Jamal, as well as favorite regional artists Juanita Williams, the late Charlie Byrd, Tim Eyermann and many others.
Each year, the festival draws more than 5,000 attendees who have enjoyed performances from Afro Bop Alliance, 2008 Latin Grammy winning/Grammy nominees; Jason Moran & the Bandwagon, Triple DownBeat 'Rising Star' winner; The Bad Plus, Explosive indie-rock & Jazz fusion band; and the Tierney Sutton Band, two-time Grammy nominated vocalist & ensemble, to name a few.
Street Festival is located on Lee Highway and features both food and artisan vendors.
Gateway Park is just two blocks from the Rosslyn Metro at 1300 Lee Highway, at the foot of the Key Bridge.
Festival parking is available for $5 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at 1911 North Fort Myer Drive. The parking entrance is on North Moore Street.
